Charles Xavier as a child WIP

So I was on a 15 hour train ride yesterday, which was only supposed to be 9 hours. the train was so delayed, so this is one of the many pictures I drew while waiting ;_; While I was sitting in this one car with my mom, another lady came up to us and started to do a puzzle with my mom. I later learned that she was 21 and a professional artist, so I felt quite awkward drawing with her around XD This picture became what it is because I had a bit of art block, so I asked my mom if I should draw someone from X Men or the Avengers, but she doesn't like Marvel, so it was no help XD I started talking to the artist and it turns out, she started on dA too. It was pretty cool meeting her, and while I was doing this sketch, she kept giving me tips, which were quite helpful. As you see, I haven't drawn the eyes yet, just the basic shape. The problem is is that I didn't use a ref, and usually I mess up eyes to the point that they've been erased so many times that you can't really erase anymore. To add to that, I have really bad lighting in this house, so when I get home, I'm going to scan it instead of taking a crappy picture with my mom's iPad.
